The Owner & Chef, Marisa Beattie, started her journey in Northern California. The golden state where Taco Trucks are abundant and very much a part of the daily culture. Marisa enlisted in the United States Marine Corps right after graduating from Lodi High School. She became an Active-Duty Food Service Specialist, stationed on MCAS Miramar in San Diego and learned all that she could to carry out her culinary journey after years of service. Following her enlistment, she received certificates and degrees from Le Cordon Bleu in Sacramento and The Culinary Institute of Virginia in Norfolk. Her dream has always been to open a Food Truck, but she discovered her passion for tacos specifically when she moved from her hometown in California to her new home in Norfolk, VA. She couldn’t find the West Coast flavors she was used to and began developing her business around making the freshest,
high-quality tacos and burritos the East Coast has been missing. Every meal is made fresh to order with care and attention to detail.
You Can’t Rush Perfection.
To do things properly, speed isn’t the answer, but time management is. We take the time necessary to ensure we make our customer’s orders correct and the flavors remain fresh when they receive their food. However, we have developed speed through repetition and confidence in slinging our crave-able tacos and burritos. Don’t believe us? Try for yourself!
